About Darshil Chauhan

Born and raised in Khedbrahma, a small village near Ahmedabad, India, Darshil grew up in a middle-class family where love, respect, and togetherness were the true riches. His father owned a modest footwear store, which provided for the family comfortably. Surrounded by his grandparents and sibling, Darshil’s upbringing instilled in him the values of hard work, gratitude, and family bonds.

After high school, Darshil moved to Bangalore to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. His college years were not just about academics; they were filled with sports and life lessons. Volleyball became his passion, teaching him the importance of teamwork, communication, and trust. His love for sports also led him to represent his state in a Kabaddi tournament, where he learned discipline, strategy, and the power of persistence.

Looking for new opportunities, Darshil moved to Canada, where he completed a diploma in Chemical Lab Technology. After working in his field for a few years, he married Maitri, an assistant professor in forensic science. Together, they embraced a new life in Canada, where Maitri transitioned into the workforce as an ESL teacher. Their happiness grew when they welcomed their daughter, who is now three years old. For Darshil, family means everything—he treasures every moment spent playing and making memories with his little girl.

Always drawn to entrepreneurship, Darshil ventured into the restaurant business. However, the dream came with unexpected challenges. The restaurant had to close, leaving Darshil in six-figure debt. This period became a turning point in his life. The weight of debt, especially with a wife and young child at home, was a harsh reality. He learned firsthand the emotional and financial toll of being in debt—how it affects not just finances but also mental well-being and family life.
